I’ve thinked the model like intercheageable part, where I can select which kind of knit I want to have on any part. The film is a story of the leather bag fabrication from Coachtopia, the concept is to follow the leathers band from their selection to the creation of the bag.I was involved at mid project for helping the studio on some technical aspect of the production, like animate leathers being extracted from the leather ground. All animation showed here are fully procedural and made with SOPs. For the workflow I needed to send an .abc file of my animation to be read in Cinema 4D. I take the intention to separate each elements (ribbons, grounds) so they can easily timeshift, transform each elements individually. deathpact.playlist The idea is to transcribe a visual atmosphere from the sounds already made by Deathpact. With Alexy we brainstormed ideas taking into account the technical possibilities and speed of execution in order to fit within budgets. The work was split in two, Alexy took care of the graphics rendering (materials, light, cameras) and character animations. My part is everything related to simulation and procedural animation (evolutions, smokes, phyllotaxis, fluids).
