SPLIT PERSONALITY

A series of effects for Deathpact, following visual references developed by Deathpact and Alexis Préfontaine.

My work focused on large-scale FLIP simulations, viscous fluids, smoke, and procedural branching effects. The fluid simulations took the most R&D: balancing the intended visual behaviour against simulation control, performance, and calculation times.

I built the setups and simulations, using 3D models supplied by Alexis when an effect had to interact with existing geometry, and delivered the resulting caches to Alexis for integration and final rendering in Cinema 4D and Octane.
